To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Mr. Alonzo Holmes and it is a pleasure and privilege to do
so. I became acquainted with Alonzo this year, as he is a student in my English class. He is
highly motivated, organized and very responsible. He works hard to maintain his 3.0 GPA and
rarely misses a day of school.

Alonzo has a warm and genuine personality and has been able to communicate and work well
with others. He demonstrates his competence, energy and commitment to others in every task he
undertakes. His future goal is to become a mechanic and work for a reputable car company. He
hopes to attend Merced Junior College to attain the skills needed to pursue his career and
possibly own his own shop one day. He will be the first in his family to attend college and he
hopes to fulfill this promise to himself and to his family. While attending El Capitan High
School, he also played baseball for all four years. He is currently on the El Capitan varsity
baseball team. He is quite an impressive young man with a bright future.

Alonzo’s motivation in the academic arena as well as in his personal life is impressive and it
shows in everything he does. I believe that Alonzo should be at the top of any group of
applicants when being considered for employment. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you
should have further questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Tara Morgan-Ramirez
