EXECUTIVE MEMO

TO: MASAHIRO FUKUHARA, CEO

FROM: MARK JOSEPH TAN, MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
SUBJECT: GROWING FORWARD

GROW has proven that in screening candidates, artificial intelligence learning algorithms can do
as good a job as HR professionals. The app can free up HR professionals’ time, so they can do
more crucial tasks. The combination of B2B2C strategy and software-as-a-service model is also
effective in acquiring clients. However, Institution for a Global Society (IGS) can still grow in
many areas.

Experiment on Correlation. The app currently looks at two dimensions in screening candidates,
but there is merit in investigating the correlation of other factors to a candidate’s performance at
work, such as match with company values, further training, school the candidate graduated from,
etc.

Career Portal. While GROW shortlists from the onslaught of job applications, the company can
also develop a job portal app that matches a candidate’s competencies and personality traits to
current job openings. Aside from matching applicants to the job, we also match the job to the
applicants.

Recruitment App. IGS can also develop an app that manages the hiring process of HR
professionals, from updating job openings, monitoring status of applications, evaluating efficiency
of their hiring process.

Partnership with Schools. Knowing what employers need from potential employees, IGS can
offer consultancy services to schools, colleges, universities, so that these institutions can align their
curriculum with what is required in the current workplace.

These recommendations must be considered as growth opportunities of IGS, and must be evaluated
by the business development department.
