Description Online (3C). Refers to a course that is conducted entirely online. Online courses have no face-to-face requirements. Instructional activities take place in the Learning Management System (LMS). Hybrid (8H). Refers to a course that displaces some face-to-face requirements with online instruction. In addition to face-to-face activities, instruction takes place within the LMS. Web Enhanced (9A). Refers to a course that meets face-to-face, but also uses the LMS for eReserves, web video, discussion forums, or other supplemental educational activities. Online activities do not replace face-to-face time. Collaborate Enhanced (9E). Refers to a course that meets face-to-face, but also uses the Collaborate Webinar Platform for supplemental educational activities, such as faculty office hours, question-answer period, and, guest lecturers, and presentations. Online activities do not replace face-to-face time. MathXL Enhanced (9M). Refers to a course that meets face-to-face, but also uses the MathXL courseware package for online homework, tutorial and assessment activities. Online activities do not replace face-to-face time. Publisher Enhanced (9P). Refers to a course that meets face-to-face, but also uses the online courseware package provided with a text book. These are typically language courses, and the online activities provide opportunities for extended practice. Online activities do not replace face-to-face time. Tegrity Enhanced (9T). Refers to a course that meets face-to-face, but that also uses the Tegrity Lecture Capture System to archive and distribute recorded course sessions to students online. Students can bookmark difficult sections, providing information to instructors about where to focus supplementary activities and review. Online activities do not replace face-to-face time.
