Quote Integration

Integrate the following quotes into these sentences. Try to use part of the quote, not the
whole thing.

Example:
Sentence: Romeo is being dramatic when he says that death is better than banishment.
Quote: “Ha banishment? Be merciful say death.
Integration: Romeo is being dramatic when he says that death is more "merciful" than
banishment.

1. Sentence: Atticus explains to Scout that, because the Cunninghams are farmers, they
were greatly affected by The Great Depression.
Quote: "Not exactly. The Cunninghams are country folks, farmers, and the crash hit
them hardest." (21).

2. Sentence:Scout is constantly complaining about being left behind by Jem and Dill.
