As we know there is a lot of factor that affecting the strength of a materials such as
the bonding energy of the materials itself, the presence of defects, etc. Specifically, for
concrete, whether the cement mixture fulfill the standard requirements also determine the
strength.
In our case, the factor that might decrease the strength of our concrete are:
1. The fluidity of the cement mixture is less than the ASTM standard
2. The cracks in the surface of the concrete, maybe caused by uneven filing when
molding the concrete
Therefore, I think in the future work, we need to pay more attention when making
the cement mixture and molding the mixture to gain maximum strength possible for the
concrete.
