To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Angela Mattews. Angela is currently a senior at El Capitan
High School. My impressions of Angela have always been positive, so I am pleased to be able to
write this letter as a way of helping her accomplish her goals.

As a student, Angela is talented, studious, and independent. She is highly committed to her
education and currently holds an impressive 3.49 Grade Point Average. I am impressed with
Angela’s commitment to her school. She is currently a member of Ag Leadership, Future
Farmers of America, and the Gaucho Marching Brigade. She has served as secretary, vice
president and president of the Lancers 4-H club and is the company soloist for the Merced Civic
Ballet Company. Angela is involved in sports such as Varsity Cheer, Varsity Track & Field, and
Moe’s Sidekicks Taekwondo. Angela is also involved in the community. She has volunteered for
the Merced County Library, Friends Helping Friends at the Merced County Fair, Merced County
4-H Science and Adventure Camp, and Senior Citizens Home.

Angela is the type of student that will reach every goal that she sets for herself. I feel certain
that you will be just as impressed with her as I am. As a counselor who is committed to helping
