 ABOUT ME
To some, cinema is nothing more than the simple juxtaposition of picture and
sound, but to me it is so much more. I have studied fine art for several years now,
attracted by the intricacy and diversity that it offers. I have never come across
a single art form more powerful than film. What else can trigger such a strong
emotional reaction, and immerse you in a world beyond your own. One minute your
eyes glisten in awe and spectacle; the next you weep for your favourite characters.
This fluctuation of mood and emotion is what allows you to live and relive many
lifetimes. (To rephrase Robert Altman.)
The love of cinema allows passionate and creative individuals to guide an audience:
to escape their reality, to replace it with undeniable joy and nostalgia. Film has the
power to transport its audience. This is my passion; practical filmmaking is what
I need to do. Film has given me the platform to build something very special. The
blend of technical and creative has inspired me to master the skills of the trade and
allowed me to achieve and create something worth being proud of.
Film has the power to make others happy, and there is nothing I would rather do.
For the past five years: I have gained experience on and off set, diversifying my
skills as much as possible: I trained in visual effects, cinematography, scriptwriting,
directing, editing, sound design and more. When not absorbed in my own projects,
I helped with others. I love learning the technology to its core, and harnessing it to
better understand what it can allow me to achieve creatively.
I am a self-motivated and driven person, however I love team working and the
collective energy and benefit that it brings. I have been fortunate to work with
talented and likeminded people, this has allowed us to create a range of films that
demonstrate our collective talent.
I have a range of professional experience: including the production of a number of
short commercial videos for an HR company; production of promotional materials
for a local museum and have worked for a television production company as a
motion graphics editor that put my name on Channel 4 credits.
Cinema is a language: so let’s start a conversation?

assigned by the exam board as one of the specification critera. To the left is a logo which I designed
under a client brief for a local DJ.

While at Rendcomb; I became familiar with NM Generation. From

day one: we formed a creative relationship and have collaborated
ever since.
My work for them was almost exclusivly video based.

Luke and James (the owners of NM Generation), were in the heat of reheasals for their accalimed play: FAITH, when
they commissioned me to create trailers and behind the scenes videos, to promote the release.

As a graded assignment: I produced a magazine cover and spread from pre - post production. I used
literacy, photography and design skills in order to finish the task to the best ogf my abilities.

My experience with sound design, could be concidered limited, however: as a solo filmmaker:
I’ve had to complete every job role by myslef: including sound design.
For each and every one of my flims (seen on youtube.com/tvfshd), I’ve mixed and prodced
the sound design.
I often edit my work in Premiere and dynamic link it into Audition, where the bulk of the
sound work is done.
