I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Vanessa Gomez for this scholarship. I have had the
pleasure of knowing Ms. Gomez as her 11th grade Integrated Math 3 teacher. She has also worked with me as
an academic mentor during her 12th grade year.

As a student, Ms. Gomez is genuine in her work, and very detail oriented. She is a responsible young woman
who always strives to do her best work possible. Ms. Gomez also works very well with her peers, often
collaborating with them to share what she has learned, or to learn new techniques from them. I believe this
attention to detail and her ability to work well with others will make Ms. Gomez an excellent registered nurse in
the future if given the opportunity.

Through her time at El Capitan, Ms. Gomez has been able to take a variety of challenging courses and
become a part of the campus community through the different clubs and organizations on campus. During her
junior and senior year, Ms. Gomez has been a part of El Capitan Floral Design, and won the Greenhand FFA
Degree her junior year, and the Chapter FFa degree her senior year. Ms. Gomez’s accomplishments and love
of floral design and arrangements show a great attention to detail, which is incredibly necessary as an RN. I
am positive that with the proper training, Ms. Gomez will become an excellent RN in the future. A scholarship
would help ensure that she can truly make the most out of the undergraduate degree program of her choice.
