The Global Refugee Crisis

PROPOSAL FOR REFUGEE CRISIS

The Security Council and General Assembly,

Saddened by the overwhelming rate refugees are leaving their countries, there are 65.3
million refugees, asylum-seekers and internally displaced people around the world
(Domonoske),

Understands the severity of refugee crisis, it is a global issue with many implications and
problems that follow; however will slow the income of refugees -almost to a halt,

Fearful of terrorist organizations and attacks on one’s people, every since the November
attacks,

Considering that refugees can be a threat to a nation's safety -for 25% come from ISIL or ISIS
torn countries and could disguise themselves as terrorists,

Realizes that other European countries are overwhelmed with refugees, and are having trouble
keeping everything in order,

Keeping in mind resources are slim for most countries,

Open to helping others globally, with financial aid and resources, does not have the ability to
give up more land due to poor living conditions and police brutality,

Expresses its appreciation to other countries willing to take more than their fair share of
refugees, seeing that the rejection rate is 75% here,

1. Asks that the UN to look deeper into where the refugees are coming from, background checks
are almost impossible seeing that most refugees do not have paperwork needed to become a
citizen,

2. Recommends a better sorting of refugees to other countries:

a. With the intentions of making lives better for each refugee and family,
b. Where a displaced person, refugee, or person seeking asylum is giving the correct
paperwork to be identified and understood,
c. Where countries that have been under attack by terrorist organizations can have
leniency on who comes into their country,
d. With countries that have less resources paired with less refugees, and more wealthier
countries must hold more refugees; due to societal configurations,
