THE CONCERNS AND RESOLUTION OF CLIMATE CHANGE

The General Assembly,

Gravely aware of the horrifying statistic that over 48,000 French citizens die a year

from air pollution,

Fearful that increasing pollution and carbon emissions will cause the global

temperature to rise by more than two degrees celsius,

Recognizes the mindset of the United States; however will not stop pushing the Paris

Agreement for sake of one’s own country,

Heavy concern about the massive flooding and drought in most of Europe: including

Germany and France;

Strongly supports funding to boost energy efficiency in France and around the world,

1. Declares accordingly that as of the year 2040, as part of the Paris Agreement,
France will ban petrol and diesel vehicles completely;

a. With the intention of stopping the diesel emissions that contribute to the
development of cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory health effects,
pollution of air, water, and soil; and global climate change;
2. Furth proclaims that France will no long utilize or operate with coal to produce
electricity after 2022;

a. With the hope of stopping overall pollution of the world;

b. With concerns about the rising temperatures of the planet;

3. Affirms that 4 billion euros will be invested into energy efficiency;

4. Calls for other countries to continue to join the Paris Agreement, including but

not limited to, the United States;

a. With hopes to continue campaigning in France and spreading the

message;

b. With intentions of ridding one’s planet of climate change;
