The article, “The Elements of Success” by Mike Kubic implies that there are three main

elements that contribute to the success of cultural groups. Mike Kubic develops support for the

thesis by using literary devices and techniques, such as pathos, to convey the thesis of if race has

an impact on success. The authors accomplishes this by using factual evidence sources from

highly ranked colleges. Such as Harvard Business School. He also states many professionals of

this topic such as social scientists. This is used in order to prove his accusations more trustworthy

and evident. By doing so those of varied cultural backgrounds can compare this information to

their society and test the theory themselves.
