RECAP: SS Taylor Motter and RF Jayson Werth each homered and combined to drive in all 3 of the Rainiers runs, but it wasn’t enough as
Tacoma fell to Las Vegas 3-8 on Thursday night. Werth (1x4, R, HR, 2 RBI) hit his 3rd home run of the season with a 2-run blast with 2 outs in
the 1st inning that game the Rainiers an early 2-1 lead. Motter (1x3, R, HR, RBI, BB) recorded his 4th home run with Tacoma with a solo

PCL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: INF Daniel Vogelbach was selected as the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for May 7–13.
Vogelbach logged 8 games with the Rainiers during the week and hit .429 (12x28) with 9 runs scored, 4 doubles, 5 home runs, and 8 RBI.
Across that stretch, he posted a .543 on-base percentage and a 1.107 slugging percentage. From May 7–13, Vogelbach ranked 1st or tied for
1st in the PCL in runs scored (9), home runs (5), and extra-base hits (9). His 5 home runs were tied for the most among all Minor League
Baseball players, while his 1.107 slugging percentage was 2nd best in MiLB. The 25-year-old first baseman hammered 3 home runs during
Sunday’s doubleheader against the Sacramento River Cats — including a game-tying 2-run home run in the top of the 7th inning of game 2 —
and has hit 5 home runs over his last 5 games. Since being optioned from Seattle on April 27, Vogelbach has played in 18 games with Tacoma
and hit .328 (21x64) with 13 runs, 5 doubles, 8 home runs, 14 RBI, and 16 walks. Tacoma’s last Player of the Week award winner was infielder
Taylor Motter, who earned the honors August 14-20, 2017 after hitting .700 (14x20) over a five-game stretch.
