It provides a well organized timeline displaying the technological innovations from this time period
which I will be able to use for researching further inventors and their creations that benefitted society,
economics, and culture all together in their own individual and unique way.

How does this source answer your research question?
I already have read this historical novel so I’m familiar with the content. It provides a first person
perspective on the time period which can portray more detail about significant events that have taken
place but are overlooked by textbooks or historians. We see plenty of the main characters using the
innovations that were forged at this time for their various projects or tasks at hand.

Similar to the one about the type writer, this scholarly article will provide me with the necessary
information for finding more out about yet another cultural innovation at this time, barbed wire. This
would be used for farming/herding cattle and then later used for restricting access of private properties
to evolve into defense precautions in the major world wars.

It adds even more inventions/innovations for the time to the list I plan on researching and how they
contributed to maintaining continuity as well as fostered change in the lives of urban and rural workers
