Definition:

1. Inertia- a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform
motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.

Video Explanation:
Experiment 3 (Coins, Beaker, and Paper):
For the paper and coin experiment a guy balanced a paper on a beaker, he then put a coin in the
middle of the paper. When he did this, he took the paper under the coin and ripped it from under the coin,
the coin fell into the beaker.
When the guy pulled the paper under the coin the only thing acting on the coin is the coin’s mass
and gravity. The gravity of the earth made the coin stay in place and not go with the paper. (The paper is
lighter than the coin.
Experiment 4,5,6 (Beaker and paper):
When the beaker has water in it the beaker has more mass than the paper. When the guy pulled
the paper, the beaker stayed in place. While the paper slid under it. The beaker will always have more
mass than the paper.
Experiment 8 (Office Chair, Books, and Chair):
When the wheeled chair contacted the normal chair the books on the office chair flew off at the
same speed. The reason the books did that is because the books all have the same mass, if the desk was
not them to stop the books the books would have kept flying.
