Reflection

In this essay I talked about the mural “A Wall That Sings, Speaks and Shouts”.

Researching this mural has led me to stumble on many things I didn’t know before. In the first

essay I failed to delve into why Los Tigres Del Norte had commissioned the mural but after

discovering why I felt that it was extremely necessary to show that they were supportive and

stood with their community. I also added two sources, one where Botello (the artist of the mural)

talks about Los Tigres Del Norte and the other was an excerpt from their song Tres Veces

Mojado.I thought the addition of the excerpt of their song further emphasized that they were

supportive on the issues the immigrants were going through. I added a bit more commentary

after the quotes so the quote sandwiches are complete. Finally I fixed the MLA formatting in my

essay/work cited page by changing the format to a hanging indentation and fitting the two new

sources to that format as well. I also added on slightly to my thesis in an attempt to make it

narrower and make the whole essay flow better.
