Spectra:
• The sun emits radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum
• The type of spectra the sun focus’s on is extremely high-energy x-rays, ultra-long-wavelength
and radio waves

Use of the Sun:

• The use of sun is to heat and light the earth

The History of the Sun:

• The sun is the largest object in the solar system
• Contains 99.8% of the mass of the Solar System
• Often called an “ordinary star”
• It is important because without the sun the earth would
be cold and dark

How Does it Work?

• The constant motion of high-temperature causes a
nuclear reaction.
• In the suns core, hydrogen turns into helium
• Causes a fusion
• Moves to the surface of the sun
• It escapes into space as electromagnetic radiation
