Reading Passage Module 1-RA
Read the text and choose the best option in each case.
My name is Tom Sanders and I live in Bristol with my family. We have a nice
house. My house hasn’t got any stairs. It doesn't have a second floor and it doesn't
have a basement, but it is a lovely comfortable house. It has got three bedrooms, three
bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room. In the living room there is a big
sofa, a big TV and a chimney. Our living room is our family room. We watch TV
together. We play games like Scrabble and Monopoly together. We enjoy those games.
They are fun to play. We have a small front yard and a big back yard. We don't have a
swimming pool or a garden. We have a two-car garage. My mum has a blue Cadillac
and my dad has a red Honda. I have a bicycle and a skateboard. My sister does, too.
She's a good skateboarder, for a girl. We live on a quiet street. We never hear police sirens or fire sirens. I go to a nice school.
Someday I will get married. I will own a nice house on a quiet street and I will have a swimming pool in
the back yard.
My house is very well located. There is a bus stop very near my house which takes you to town
in about twenty minutes. There are lots of shops nearby and there are nice restaurants and parks at a
walking distance. There’s also a cinema. I love going to the cinema because I love films. I want to be a
film director when I grow up. I think that must be an exciting job.
