To whom it may concern:

I am writing a letter of application for a part-time volunteer

position as an English language instructor at St. Anthony’s college or
one of its affiliated schools. I am currently employed in the afternoons
as an online English teacher and would be able to offer my time and
services in the morning, particularly during the weekdays. I have over
15 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language to all
levels. However, my experience is not limited to teaching English
conversation alone. I do have a great deal of experience helping
students at all levels write effective speeches and essays on a wide
variety of topics and would be happy to render any writing and/or
editing services free of charge. Since I majored in English Literature, all
of the diverse aspects English language instruction, including formal
essay writing, can hopefully be used for the benefit of your student
body and wider community.

While I have no formal theological training, I should mention that

I am serious about Catholic evangelism and apologetics and have
studied our Catholic faith with great interest since my conversion from
Protestantism eight years ago. If possible, therefore, I would be most
happy to offer my humble assistance -- in whatever way I can -- with
Catholic catechesis programs. Our Lord has given me a talent for
teaching and influencing others in a positive way and I have been
looking for organized opportunities to share my talent and knowledge
with others. If you feel that my skills, work experience, and missionary
goals complement -- or at least cooperate with -- the charter of St.
Anthony’s College -- please consider this as both my application and
appeal.
