Brainstorming Diary

November 10, 2017


• We began brainstorming fun active service projects.
• Field day for kids
• Soccer camp for kids
• Softball camp for kids
• Create a new drive thing around the school
• Do a 2k run for a special cause
• We decided to go with the soccer camp for kids

November 15, 2017


• We started conversing about what the proceeds should go towards.
• We decided to go with the Century soccer program.

November 23, 2017


• We wrote our project proposal
• We then reached out to Mr. Rice about doing the soccer camp at century
• He approved our proposal

November 25, 2017


• Talked to Mrs. Carnes about our plan
• We need to create a flyer to get the word out
• We created the flyer with google slides
• Ages- 5-12
• Price- $5.00
• Location- Century High school
• Time- 9:00am-11:00am

December 6, 2017
• Emailed Hillsboro School District

January 16, 2018


• Made arrangements to have the century soccer field on May 19th

March 12. 2018


• Paige williams is going to be doing her senior project with us
• She provided free healthy snacks and water bottles for the kids

• Made our Lesson Plans/ drills
• Contacted volunteers
• Confirmed with Jose Sanchez Rodriguez

• We put flyers up around Century High School
• We contacted the hillsboro school district to ask permission and for them to look over our flyer

April 27, 2018


• We went around to all the elementary school and had them put our flyers out

April 30, 2018


• Talked to the boys soccer coach ( Jose) about borrowing his equipment
• Cones
• Pennys
• Balls
• pugg goals
• Hurdles
• ladders
• He agreed to help and oversee our project

May 6, 2018
• Received notice that we will need extra cash and the cash box from the book keeper
• We contacted Mr, Rice to make that happen

May 15, 2018


• We were given the cash box from the book keeper

May 18, 2018


• We created our lesson plans with the warm ups and drills we are going to do
• We confirmed with every volunteer what time they need to be there

May 19, 2018


• Hosted our kids soccer camp
• 17 kids showed up
• We received $85 for the the Century Soccer Program
