Dear Parent/Guardian,

As part of our geography unit this term we have the opportunity to attend a guided tour around the
Rockhampton Zoo. All students from year 4 (Classes 4Y & 4E) are to attend the event as it provides a vital
learning opportunity for all students in regards to their summative assessment task.

Students will have the opportunity to explore a range of different wild animals, including their habitats, and
the vegetation within them. Students will also be given the opportunity to ask the tour guide a range of
questions to accompany their collected observations and data.

The event will be held on Thursday 30th August 2018, (week 7). Students will be transported by bus leaving
the school at 9am and will return by 1:15pm.

The trip will come at a cost of $10 per student to cover the cost of the bus and tour guide.

Parent helpers who hold a current blue card are encouraged to volunteer their time to help out with our Field
study. If you are able to do so please contact Mrs Yeatman (4Y Teacher).

Please return the permission from, medical form and media consent form to the office by Monday August
6th 2018. If you have further queries or concerns, please contact the school.
