ME 218C 17-18 Checkoff Test Procedure

SHIP
● Battery powered and untethered?
● Indicates, in a way that is visible under direct sunlight at 30ft:
○ Team number?
○ Home team?
○ Fueled/un-fueled?
○ Current controlling team?
● Fuel tank properly mounted? Check for interference from any structure or self-refueling
system.
● Maximum perimeter does not exceed 72”, and is covered in foam?
● Battering ram (if present) <3ft and entirely flexible?
● Water delivery (if present) using class standard pump only?

ANSIBLE
● Battery powered and untethered?
● Method of changing home team?
● Method of selecting target SHIP?
● Involves at least 3 sensing modalities?
● Instructions that are easily understood?

OPERATION
1. Power up SHIP and ANSIBLE
2. Pair SHIP and ANSIBLE
3. Fuel SHIP, verify fuel status on ANSIBLE
4. Test ANSIBLE to SHIP functions, including:
a. Movement
b. Water delivery, if implemented
c. Special functions, if implemented
5. Power off ANSIBLE and allow SHIP to time out, verify unpairing
6. Power up ANSIBLE
7. Pair SHIP and ANSIBLE
8. Unfuel SHIP, verify unpairing
9. Pair alternate ANSIBLE with SHIP
10. Verify that movement occurs at reduced speed
11. Fuel SHIP, verify unpairing
12. Power off SHIP
13. Power up alternate SHIP
14. Pair alternate ship and ANSIBLE
15. Fuel alternate SHIP, verify fuel status on ANSIBLE
16. Test ANSIBLE to alternate SHIP functions, including:
a. Movement
b. Water delivery, if implemented
c. Special functions, if implemented
17. Power off alternate SHIP and allow ANSIBLE to time out, verify unpairing
