Elisha, for 10 years had the ministry nobody notices.

Elisha ran after Elijah

Elisha left his old life for a new one

Elisha became Elijah’s right hand man.

1 Kings 19:19-21 MSG

Bad news:

Nothing significant happened to Elisha for 10 years.

Disappointment is the GAP between EXPECTATION and REALITY.
Elisha might feel disappointment for 10 years.

1. If You Give Your best in Obscurity God will recognize it.

Be contend with where God put you.

“More than any other single way- the grace of humility is worked into our lives through the
discipline of service… nothing disciplines the in ordinate desire of the flesh like service… and
nothing transforms the desires of the flesh like serving in hiddenness. The flesh whine
against service but it screams against hidden service. It strains and pulls for honor and
recognition.

2. If You give your best in small things, God will give bigger things to do.
Three important things in small things:
- Give yourself completely to the task at hand.
- What you do doesn’t determine whether your work is sacred, how and why you do it
does. (How? With Excellence!; Why? For Right Motives, for the glory of God)
- Your purpose must be more important than your position.

3. When God does not give you a vision of your own, help another leader fulfil his or hers.
4. If You give your best with consistency, God will give you courage.

2 Kings 2: 1-15 NLT

If You want to take the mantle of leadership

(-) You have to want it!

(-) You have to wait it!

(-) You have to stick with it! -> endure -> At the point of our greatest spiritual moment that we had
greatest spiritual warfare.

(-) If you give your best to his glory. God will empower us to do greater thing than Your Ability
