SECTION A:
The rambutan is a popular local fruit. It has (1) a local fruit. The outer skin
is (2 ) leathery and has soft spike. When the fruit is ripe, the colour of the skin will
change from (3) green to red. The flesh of the rambutan is (4) white and sticks to
the seed. It tastes very (5) sweet and juicy. Many people enjoy eating it fresh.
Rambutans are also used to make juices, jams and jellies.

Dear Dad,
Mum’ s birthday is next week and I know that you want to give her a special
gift. You can go to Habib Jewellery Shop to buy jewellery for her. There is a sale
with discount up to 35 %. You can get a heart-shaped gold pendant, a floral gold
bangle or a gold charm bracelet for her. Mum will look elegant wearing any one of
them. You will have to hurry as the sale lasts for a week only from 2nd May to 8th
May 2016.

SECTION C :
QUESTION 1.
Last week, my family and I went for a picnic at the beach. We went there in
the morning by car. My mother woke up early to prepare the food. She cooked fried
noodles, nasi lemak and sandwiches. We reached there at about 10a.m. I saw the
beach was crowded with people.
My father found a place under a shady tree. I helped my mother to laid the
mat. My mother put all the things on the mat. Then, all of us enjoyed the food
prepared by my mother. My family had a good time chatting and laughing while
having our lunch.

 Later, my brothers and I had fun building sandcastle. We also went
swimming. The water was crystal clear. My father and mother were having a
relaxing time and also enjoying the beautiful scenery. Soon it was time to go home.
We threw away all the rubbish into a garbage bag and packed our things.
Although we were tired, we felt very happy. We had a great time at the beach.

QUESTION 2
Hani and May are neighbours and they each share the same hobby. Hani is
keeping a cat as her pet. Hani named the cat Comel while May’s cat is called Fury.
They always take good care of their cats. Every evening, they meet at the garden
near their house to talk about their cat.
One day, while Hani and May were at the park, a bird flew by and perched on
the branch of the tree. Comel heard the bird chirping and tried to find the sound.
Then, Comel saw the bird and quickly tried to catch it. The bird flew away. Comel
was too frightened to come down from the tree. It started meowing. May’s brother
passed by and saw what had happened. He immediately carried Comel down.
Finally, May’s brother handed Comel to Hani. She thanked him for saving
Comel. Hani hugged Comel tightly and she was happy that Comel did not get hurt.
May was very proud of her brother.
