Main Goal:
By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with
the correct stress, rhythm and intonation

Overview:
Learners will recognize the animals by listening to the animals’ sound.

Objectives:
Learners will be able to
 Know the names of different type of animals.
 Identify the sounds of animals
 Read aloud animals’ name with the correct pronunciation.

Glossary:
1. Abstraction – Being able to hide complexity and simplifying things. The sound
represented as simple reference of animal.

Before the lesson Duration:


 As the students to sing a song of “Old McDonald Had A Farm” 5 minutes
 Ask the students recognize the animals in the song.
Activation Duration:

Activate prior knowledge on :


 Pet: Which animals you like to have as a pet or already have at home? 5 minutes

Develop Duration:

1. Pupils listen to the sounds of animals recognized through the song. 25 minutes
2. Randomly pick five pupils and ask them to imitate the sounds of animals in front of the class.
3. Others voice out the names of animals.
4. Introduce other animals around them.

5. Pupils are given a short time game “Mix and Match”.
5. Stick the name of animals and its sound to the appropriate animals.

Activity A;
1. Pupils are divided in to group of five. 5 minutes
2. Each group has to design diorama of animals in Zoo or in farm.
3. Teacher provides instructions and materials to each group.
4. Pupils design any of the animals in the Zoo or in farm.
5. Then, each group will present their diorama to other group.
* Explain the names of animals.
* The sound of each animal.

Review
Summarize Duration:
1. Recap the different types of animals and its proper sound. 5 minutes
2. Pupils’ mouth along as teacher said.
3. Give homework to each pupil and ask to complete.
