Ancient Theatre of Ohrid

Ohrid's impressive amphitheatre was built around 200 BC. The theatre is situated in the
ancient part of Ohrid, Varoš. It is an open theatre with a perfect location. During Roman times, the
theatre was used for gladiator fights. Today it is a place where many cultural manifestation are held,
including the Ohrid Summer Festival, that is held here every year. The Theatre offers a wonderful view
of Lake Ohrid and Mt. Galichica.
