P01 11/17/17

Dear Anne Blake,

Hello, my name is Samuel Georgakopoulos and I am currently a Graphic Design student attending the
Art Institute of Pittsburgh – Online Division. I believe that I will be a great asset to you and the class. I
very much look forward to working with you and my peers in making great art.

I have studied Animation while at the Art Institute in Minneapolis, and I am currently studying graphic
design at the Art Institute International Pittsburgh. I will be graduating with my Associate of Applied
Science in Graphic Design. I have gained extensive knowledge and professional skills in digital
painting, media arts, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign. In terms of skills in media
arts, I am a multi-media visual artist and very skilled in creating original works of art. I feel I can be a
great asset in your Mixed Media class, believing that my skills as an artist can be used to create highly
original and personalized illustrations. Ultimately, I would like to use my skills as an artist and graphic
designer and become a graphic novelist. I would love to work as a graphic novelist to share my
creativity and passion for art and storytelling in a meaningful way.

Even though being a graphic novelist mostly consists of a single person doing both the writing and the
drawing, I still welcome constructive criticism from my fellow peers. Furthermore, I welcome the
opportunity to learn from my peers so that I may enhance my own skills and competencies as a graphic
designer and graphic novelist.

Thank you for taking the time to review my cover letter, which is enclosed, and for considering me for
this position. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discus my background and
qualifications further. I will be in touch in the next two to three business days to follow-up with you.

Sincerely,

Samuel N. Georgakopoulos
