ONLINE CONTACT
MANAGEMENT
Push to Talk Plus
Verizon Push to Talk Plus (PTT+) Improvements (Enterprise Portal for Business/Verizon
Enterprise Center):
Performance—Organizations with a large number of contacts will see improved performance over the previous version.

3G PTT and 4G LTE PTT+ Contact Management Support—Allows organizations with both 3G PTT and 4G LTE Push to Talk phones
to manage them in one place.

Note: 3G PTT to 4G LTE PTT+ interoperability will be available in the fall of 2014. Until that time, individual Push to Talk calls and
group calls between 3G PTT and 4G LTE PTT+ will not be supported.

General Improvements:
++ More consistency with the rest of Enterprise Portal for Business (EPB)/Verizon Enterprise Center (VEC).

++ More intuitive.

++ Actions Dropdown menu allows users to easily accomplish most tasks without having to drill down into the application.

++ More filtering options.

++ Individual Enterprise Contact Assignment Limit doubled from 500 to 1,000 for 4G LTE PTT+.

++ 4G LTE PTT+ group size limit of 250 versus the 3G PTT group size limit of 50.

Notification of Loss of Assignments (3G PTTto 4G LTE PTT+ ) in EUP and AE Paths—Notifies users to expect their Push to Talk
assignments to be lost via the process of upgrading or activating new equipment of differing technology. It also suggests ways
that the contacts can be easily reassigned via EPB.

Notification of Incompatible Equipment (EUP/AE)—If the user is processing an EUP or AE on a line that currently has a Push to
Talk subscription, he or she will be prompted to select new compatible equipment and continue with the Push to Talk subscription.
The features will not auto-add since they are not the same (3G PTT vs. 4G LTE PTT+).

Sub Lists—New with this version. Allows the user to preselect a set of contacts (25 maximum) and name the group. That set of
contacts can be then assigned to many contacts. Then, when the sub list is modified in the future (either via additions or deletions),
all of those that have the sub list assigned to them will be updated via single transaction.
Note: Only 4G LTE phones can be assigned sub lists, but 3G phones may be a member of a sub lists.

Templates—Sub lists and groups have now been added to templates. This allows users a great way to keep all assignment
requirements for a division/group within an organization all in one template. This is a great way for users to have templates
available for easy assignment when new Push to Talk phones are added or upgraded.
Note: Applying a template is a snapshot in time. They will not dynamically update phones with changes made after an application.

Talker Group Priority—Talker Priority is a new feature of 4G LTE PTT+ groups. This new feature allows any members with the
priority of Supervisor to “take the floor” of a group call. This can be set on the Group Detail page of any 4G LTE PTT+ group.
Note: A group can only be 4G if all internal contacts have a 4G LTE PTT+ Push to Talk phone.

Push to Talk Landing Page (All Contacts Page)—

Structures—Displayed on the left (if the profile has set up a structure; it will not be seen otherwise). This allows the user to view
Push to Talk phones as they relate to the structure of their organization. Clicking on any of the folders will show the Push to Talk
phones that roll up to it. To return to see all Push to Talk phones that roll up to your organization and any external contacts you
may have, click on Return to All Contacts.

View—Change the view of the contacts you’re reviewing at any point by clicking All, 3G, 4G or External. It’s a quick/easy way to
narrow down the Push to Talk contacts to what you want to work with at any given point.

Actions—Similar to the Wireless Numbers and Users page elsewhere in the portal, you can select multiple contacts and perform
an action. See the Action Dropdown menu for more information.

Search—To find specific Push to Talk contacts, search functionality is available. You may search by name, number or account. You
can either type in a portion of what you’re looking for or the entire name, number or account.

Select All/Deselect All—A shortcut to select or deselect all Push to Talk contacts is displayed on the page prior to performing
an action.

Add External Contacts—Click this button to add other Verizon Push to Talk numbers that do not roll up to your organization. This
allows you to add contacts from other organizations to contact lists, templates, groups and sub lists.

Upgrade—This button will be available if any of your Push to Talk phones are 3G PTT. As long as the user is entitled to perform an
upgrade to the phone(s) selected and your organization allows upgrades via the portal, this allows you to upgrade your 3G PTT
phones to 4G LTE PTT+ phones.

All Contacts: Actions Dropdown—Select Contacts and click an action; similar to the Wireless Numbers and Users page.

existing groups. See the “Group” section for more information on groups.

All Contacts ACTION: Create Group—Allows the user to create a new group comprised of selected contacts.

All Contacts ACTION: Apply/Update Template—Allows the user to apply and/or update a template in one transaction. Templates
can consist of contacts, groups and sub lists. Multiple templates may be created to easily assign contacts, groups and sub lists in
one easy transaction.

Application of templates will be invaluable for large organizations upgrading to 4G LTE PTT+. When upgrading from 3G PTT to 4G
LTE PTT+, all contacts on the handset are reset. Administrators can easily apply a prebuilt template after the upgrade to re-assign
all of the needed contacts/groups and sub lists to the 4G LTE PTT+ phone.

Note: Sub lists are a 4G LTE PTT+–only functionality. Any template with sub lists that is assigned to a 3G phone will result in only
the contacts and groups within the template being assigned to said phone. The sub lists will be ignored.

All Contacts ACTION: Assign/Update Sub List—Gives the ability for the administrator to assign and/or update an existing
sub list. As opposed to a template (one-time assignment, no dynamic connection for future updates), a sub list automatically
updates all phones to which it is assigned whenever the membership of a given sub list is modified. This 4G LTE PTT+–only
functionality is VERY powerful and will cut down administrator’s time/effort within the portal to assure that all phones are
correctly assigned their contacts.

All Contacts ACTION: Create Template—Allows the administrator to create a template consisting of contacts, groups and
sub lists. A template can contain any or all of these items. Groups and sub lists are limited to five each per template for
performance reasons.

All Contacts ACTION: Create Sub List—Allows the administrator to create and assign a sub list in one step. This is a 4G LTE PTT+–
only functionality. 3G PTT phones can be a member of a sub list, but they cannot be assigned a sub list (as per the verbiage on
the page).
