Certainly , everyone has friends. But, very few has true friends. Do you know the meaning of true
friends? It doesn’t mean the person that only approaches you during good time. It means a person who
shows love and care in times of trouble. True friends are good listeners and comforters.

We would like to report some interesting incidents about friendship.

For 2017, Friendship’s Day falls on 30th July. This day can be very special to everyone who realizes the
importance of friendship. It is a very common habit to exchange friendship bracelets on that day.
Friends even give bouquets and greeting cards to each other. The first World Friendship Day or
International Friendship Day was proposed in 1958.

- Mary Tilly and Evelyn Hodge have lived next door to each other for 72 years and are being considered
for an entry into the Guinness Book of Records as Britain's longest continuous neighbours. They were
not only good neighbours but also the best of friends.

- Gerdi McKenna was diagnosed with breast cancer and as a side-effect to chemotherapy, she lost all her
hair. To support her, her 11 friends went under a drastic transformation and got their heads shaved.

- 40 Year old Elizabeth Diamond, who was diagnosed with an untreatable brain cancer, made her
childhood best friend Laura Ruffino promise that she would take care of her 4 daughters after she dies.
A promise, that Ruffino did not fail to keep.

So, why not make friends to fill up the empty space in our life? That is all from us for today. Have a
wonderful day ahead. Thank you.
