ACC is the Crown entity set up under the Accident Compensation Act 2001 to deliver New Zealand’s accident
insurance scheme (the Scheme). The purpose of the Scheme is to deliver no-fault personal injury cover for
everyone in New Zealand, including overseas visitors.

POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to manage the successful delivery of learning outcomes across all Client
Transformation projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure all allocated projects are aligned to the Transformation Learning Approach; that milestones are met,
and that all projects are delivered to a high standard.
• Apply expert knowledge of learning design methodology to projects to ensure the design models are
appropriate and fit for purpose, and benefits of projects can be realised.
• Ensure ACC strategy is actively considered and incorporated into each approach
• Consider the implications of each design on the rest of ACC, and the impacts the timings of key milestones
may have on key customers (internal and external).
• Work collaboratively to ensure any dependencies and/or duplication of scope is identified at the earliest
possible time, and managed appropriately.
• Lead stakeholder management, maintaining strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders,
to ensure the efficient, effective and informed delivery of people development outcomes for Client
Transformation.
• Ensure project significant risks and issues are identified at the earliest opportunity and that solutions are
identified and implemented in line with the risk, issue and/or change management process.
• Lead the approval process and ensure all approvals are in line with agreed principles and procedures, and all
requests are viewed by approvers as consistent and timely.
• Provide project progress updates as required to Client Transformation and the Head of People Development
to enable adequate planning of project resources and costs; and to inform status updates reports.
• Liaise with ACC Talent Group for alignment of strategies and resourcing
• Determine BAU learning needs post implementation
• Oversee development of project specific strategies and plans
• Determine LMS requirements and liaise with LMS provider as required
• Manage the selection and procurement/development of People Development solutions
• Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of delivery

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent) with 8-10 years + relevant experience in people development
practices, and contribution to other functional area/s.
• Demonstrated high level conceptual and creative thought leadership for the provision of robust learning
strategy and design advice.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in the gathering, analysis and presentation of information, including
business cases and approvals.
• Demonstrated leadership and management of high-impact initiatives, and experience delivering projects
in a structured environment.
• Strong relationship, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Sound knowledge and experience in systems learning projects and programmes.
• Demonstrated excellent time management when under pressure, and works with limited supervision
• Able to manage conflict, stand by principles and put forward ideas despite objections in a professional
manner.
• Is able to multitask and be able to manage more than one piece of work at any one time whilst maintain
the quality of all projects overseeing.
