Part B. Exploring the brief - Secondary Research

While researching radio shows that are similar to my theme all that I could find was
ghost stories, making my show a bit more unique. BBC Radio 4 have many different
series where many different stories related to the horror/supernatural theme. All of these
have been broadcasted on the radio station and now are available to listen to on the
website, which are very easy to find. The shows on the website range between 15
minutes and an hour, which an hour is what i aim for. The website states: ‘Radio 4 is to
be a mixed speech service, offering in-depth news and current affairs and a wide range
of other speech output including drama, readings, comedy, factual and magazine
programmes. The service should appeal to listeners seeking intelligent programmes in
many genres which inform, educate and entertain.’
