A novice in Horary astrology must be very careful in
interpreting the Prasna chart.
With my humble capacity | have tried my level best to
present an English translation of Prasna Tantra as lucidly as
possible and it is for the educated public to judge how far 1
hhave been successtul in this endeavour. While placing this
translation in the hands of my readers | crave their indul-
‘gence for any fault that may have crept in.
Ifthe book should prove instructive and useful to my.

‘Stanzas 1 and 2:-~According to the opinion of
astrologers, all those human beings who will be
impelled (by Daiva) wish to know the current good
and bad nature of things in their lives.
Once upon a time, even the Lord of the world
Brahma approached Vishnu to learn horary
astrology.
Notes
The importance of horary astrology is stressed in
the frst two stanzas, Every one that is impelled by Daiva
for an inner urge will become inclined to spprosch
loger to know about his immediate future. Here ‘Daiva’ is
the unknown factor and usually means one’s past Karma. As
