The Regional Office ensures Interregional coordination and promotes the timely and harmonized implementation of ICAO Strategie Objectives, policies, and decisions. The Regional Office also provides technical guidance ‘and aissts States with implementation of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), aviation safety and ar navigation plans. ‘Te incumbent reports directly to the Deputy Regional Director, with whom s/he consults on complex technical issues. he will work on ait navigation and related aviation safety matters, including technica assistance, mainly concerning the North Atlantic Region. Speciic direction and supervision is ensured by the Deputy Regional Director. The approach in her/his work is normally developed jointly among ‘the incumbent, the other experts inthe Team, and the supervisor Function 4 (incl. Expected results) Provides technical and advisory support necessary for the functioning of the Regional Planning and implementation Groups (PIRGS) ‘and Aviation Safety Group (RASG), achieving results such as: + Contribute and support, as required, the efficient and effective implementation of the EUR/NAT annual operating plans and the ICAO business plan. + Coordinate and ensure the efficient and effective implementation ofthe North Atlantic Systems Planning Group (NAT SPG) work programme, including its contributory bodies, as required. ‘+ Actas subject matter expert on aic navigation capacity and efficiency elated matters, proving recommendations for mitigating potential risks to aviation safety and/or efficiency. 1+ Support the efficent and effective implementation of the European Al Navigation Planning Group (EANPG) and the European Regional Aviation Safety Group (RASG-EUR) work programmes, when directed by the Deputy Regional Directo. + raft working papers, reports, studes and other material eating to the PIRGs and RASG, as requires. + Review and develop related provision ofthe Reglonal Supplementary Procedures (SUPP, the Electronic Regional Air Navigation Plan (@ANP) and other guidance materia. Function 2 (incl. Expected results) ‘Supports in collaboration with other EUR/NAT team members and ICAO Headquarters, the regional implementation of ICAO SARPs and the ICAO Global Air Navigation (GANP) and Aviation Safety (GASP) Plans, achieving results such as + Contribute and support, as required, the eeffcient and effective implementation of the ICRO Global Air Navigation Plan, the Global ‘Aviation Safety Plan andthe relevant (Europe and North Atlantic) ICAO Regional Alr Navigation Plan requirements ‘© Support and participate in the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) Continuous Monitoring Approach (CMA) activites, when directed by the Deputy Regional Director. ‘+ Monitor and analyze gjoba, inter-regional and regional developments in air navigation services and related aviation safety lds, {and provide advice to States and ICAO on ther impact on ICAO’s overall planning and implementation. ‘+ Maintain liaison with and provide support to States, industry and other stakeholders in regional/sub-regional Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBU) Selection and prioritization, through the PIRGS. ‘+ Promote the implementation of air navigation capacity and efficiency priority initiatives through the PIRGs and other relevant bodies. Function 3 (incl. Expected results) Participates in the implementation of the ICAO EUR/NAT No Country Left Behind (NCLB) technical assistance programme and other ‘technical assistance projects, achieving results suchas: ‘+ Support the efficient and effective implementation ofthe EUR/NAT NCLB projects, as assigned by the Deputy Regional Director. ‘© Ensure the appropriate coordination between the States and ICAO (Regional Office, Air Navigation Bureau and Technical Cooperation Bureau) regarding the Technical Assistance and Technical Cooperation programmes/projets, as assigned by the Deputy Regional Director. Provide assistance and guidance to States to support the resolution of ait navigation deficiencies and enhance the safety oversight Provide assistance to States by organizing, conducting and/or partcpating in conferences, seminars, workshops and meetings. Function 4 (incl.
