A Jehovah’s Witness

and an Undocumented Immigrant

I was a Jehovah’s Witness my Entire life

· No birthdays, or holidays or school · You get shunned

dances o All friendships are cut if you
· Strongly discouraged to seek higher leave
education
· No friendships outside the religion · They said “you can never be happy
· Cannot question any part of the if you leave the “truth.”
Religion

I left the Religion when I was 18 and I am happy

A valuable thing about it is that it helped me what morals are and what kindness is
Being an undocumented immigrant has been my biggest
burden

· No driver’s license (embarrassing during high school when classmates were getting theirs)
· Not allowed to attend many colleges because No FAFSA
· No social security equals no job opportunity
· Fear of Presidential Elections
· Families are broken apart ( I haven’t seen my father in 6 years- he was deported)
· It hurts to see U.S citizens not trying to better their lives
I am Thankful for President Obama's DACA (Deferred Action
for Childhood Arrivals)

I can work, go to college, and pay for college.

JACQUELINE / STUDENT / DREAMER
PASSIVE, IMAGINATIVE, TRUSTWORTHY, RESERVED, TOLERANT.
RELATIVE OF CHIHUAHUA MEXICO..
LOVER OF ART AND ALL THAT IS CREATIVE.
WHO FEELS HAPPY WHEN MAKING OTHERS HAPPY.
WHO NEEDS TO FEEL LOVED & APPRECIATED.
WHO FEARS BETRAYAL, VIOLENCE, AND WAR.
WHO GIVES COMPLIMENTS, IDEAS, AND MOTIVATION,
TO THOSE WHO LISTEN.
WHO WOULD LIKE TO SEE OTHERS PROUD OF MY FUTURE
ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
RESIDENT OF THE AMERICAS.
