Use of IN, ON, and AT

A) For vehicles, the use of IN is for small space area. The ON is use for large space area.

In a car, in a helicopter.

On the bus, on a train.

When the platform has no walls, use ON. If it has enclosure, use IN.

On a table, on a bike, on the stage.

B) For dates

In – use for month, year or season

On – specific date or day and occasion

At - use for public holiday and time

C) Places/Location

In – use for general locaction (Makati)

On – use for street (ayala ave)

At – specific point of reference (Jollibee)

D) Reading Materials

In – printer materials such as newspaper and magazine

On – electronic such as Yahoo and Facebook

E) Parts of the body

On – describing for the hard part of the body (elbow)

In – describing the soft part of the body (cheek)
