Ecology – Study of how living things interact with each other environments

Biotic – living things

Abiotic – non-living things

Basic: Individual/organism (one elephant) – population (population of same-species in the area)

– Community (all the living things in that area, however we define the area) – ecosystem (all the
living and non-living things in that area) – biosphere (planet earth)

Fecundity – the rate at which they reproduce

Semel parity – to reproduce once

Itero parity – to repeat reproduction
