Current Grade for LO4: Merit

The current grade is calculated on the work that is present on your blog. You may have missing
items, or vastly incomplete sections of work. Please improve this. If you require help with any of
this work, or need to show me work before re-submitting to check the quality, please do so.

Remember, the highest grade you can achieve on learning outcome 3 is a Distinction Grade
and Learning outcome 4 is a Merit Grade, even if you have achieved this, if there are any minor
corrections or additions, can you please ensure these are made.

Please ensure all of the work is uploaded on the blog.

Remember – Don’t overwrite the blog posts, make new blog posts that are clearly labelled with
the words “Re-Submission”.

Overall: Some good work here Kayleigh but improvements to magazine are needed, please see
feedback below!

LO3: Some good work here Kayleigh however the following is specific improvements you
could make to your magazine.
Front Cover: Ensure skyline banner is tight to the top of the page.
Make sure content line is not clashing with Barcode.
Think about using a bottom banner which advertises something within the magazine.
DPS: Change text so it isn’t all capitals and ensure it is size 12.
Page numbers are needed.
Include effects such as drop shadows on mastheads/headings.
Use pull quote and make sure sub-heading is visible.

LO4: Pitch is detailed and relevant and areas such as your budget and production schedule
are realistic and feasible. You are clear on your target audience and how you will create
content that will appeal to them whilst maintaining this audience. You have also
suggested how your magazine will look to compete with similar national products and in
particular when advertising and marketing your product. You front cover and double-page
spread do need improvements in order to be to a better standard therefore please revise
these before publication.
