As I told you before, Solo is one of the major city in Central Java and also one of the
culture centre in this province. The city has several historical tourist area inside the city
such as Surakarta Kasunanan Palace, Mangkunegaran Palace, Keris museum,
Radyapustaka museum, Triwindu antique market, batik museum and batik centre. It
also has many nature tourism attractions in other district surrounding the Solo areas
where you can find waterfall, mountains, rain forest, even some temples in mountains
area which have beautiful scenery. Solo also has many traditional food that delicious to
eat.

In recent years Solo has undergone rapid development. Many new big buildings have
been built, such as apartment, hotels, convention centre, shopping centre and malls to
accommodate the growing number of population and also the growing number of tourist
that come to Solo. Some are also still in the development process. So, Solo has rapidly
developed into a tourism city. It also becomes a major transit city in Java since it located
in the middle of the path between the western and eastern part of Java. Although the
lifestyle has changed a bit, Solo is still a comfortable city to live in where you can find
kind people everywhere with their Javanese local hospitality.
