Strumming training

Step one muted strum

Wrist is loose, muted strum is created with using the forearm muscles, not the upper arm – that
would mean the wrist locked up

Step two bass and trebble

Rotate wrist to isolate bass and treble, combine them by alternating

Try this with a chord progression

Step three thumb and index finger picking

Isolate two strings and while still moving the wrist, extend the pick grip fingers to strum

This takes two weeks to develop

Step four

Strum groups of two strings using wrist – five groups. Then do it with skipping groups.
