FAQ’s FOR SUMMER REGISTRATION FOR PG STUDENTS

1. I am a full time PG student, do I have to register for Summer?

Ans. Summer registration is mandatory for all PG students.

2. I am on leave during the summer registration time. Do I have to register for the Summer?

Ans. If you are on leave for less than 2 months (on whatever grounds), you must complete
summer registration on your return to campus.

If you are granted academic leave prior to summer registration and for entire summer term,
you must complete summer registration on your return to campus.

3. If I register late for the summer term, do I have to pay a fine?

Ans(a). If you are on approved/sanctioned leave and are registering late (even beyond the date of
late registration), you do not have to pay late registration fine.

Ans(b). If you are not on approved/sanctioned leave, but register between the date of registration
and late registration (specified in the Academic Calendar), you have to pay late registration
fine.

4. I am an M.Tech. / M.Des / MS (By Research) student, who is likely to submit his/her thesis
during the summer (May, 15 – July, 15). Do I have to register for the Summer?

Ans(a). If you have fulfilled all the requirements in terms of course work and thesis credits, and if
you are not likely to submit your thesis on or before the date of late registration (specified
in Academic Calendar), then you must register for zero credits.

Ans(b). If you are an M.Tech. / M.Des / MS (By Research) and if you are sure to submit your
thesis before the date of late registration (specified in Academic Calendar) you need not do
summer registration.
