Ties
When a Tie is added between Notes it means the duration of the Pitch is extended until the
next Note or Rest is added.

Both Bars in each example sound exactly the same. The dot just makes is easier it see and
read.

Triplets
A Triplet is a grouping of 3 Notes that occupy the same duration over a beat. The more
commonly used Triplet durations are Quarter Note Triplets, Eighth Note Triplets and
Sixteenth Note Triplets. Half Note Triplets also exist but are less common.
The longer the duration of the Triplet, the harder it is to feel them, such as Half Note Triplets
and Quarter Note Triplets
So, for example I will start out by demonstrating Eighth Note Triplets, as the Triplet occurs on
each beat of the bar.

Triplet Rests
Triplet Rests work the same way as the regular ones discussed earlier, however there is no
real point in using a full beat or bar of Triplet Rests as there is no pitch involved so you would
see them used as follows.
