Tacna is a small city so there are many ways to get from one place to another, you can take a

bus, a taxi, a mototaxi or a shared taxi.

You can choose between these kinds of transportation according to your situation.

You can choose the transport according to the comfort you want or how much money you
have.

Buses:

They are the cheapest transport in Tacna, they charge 70 cents for your trip.

but the problem is that it is not as comfortable as a taxi, because there are times when the bus
is very full especially at rush hours.

the buses are not so fast or so slow.

Taxis

If you want to travel comfortably to a part of the city, the best option is to take a taxi.

It is more expensive than the bus, the cost depends on the distance you travel to reach your
destination.

It is the fastest transportation of the others , the only hours when it can be slow is in rush
hours, especially in bolognesi avenue.

Mototaxi

It is a transportation that travels short distances, and is faster than a bus.

If you want to go to downtown, you must take another public transportation, because
mototaxis are not allowed in downtown.

Shared taxi

Shared taxis are cheaper than taxis because it takes several people inside. Speed is similar to a
taxi.

You can take a shared taxi especially in the mornings from 5 to 6.

To conclude I think the most used transportation is the bus because it is cheaper than the
others, in my case I use it daily to get to the university and the ceid.
