ACTIVARMOR TO HOST RIBBON CUTTING OF NEW BUILDING


TO EXPAND PRODUCTION OF 3-D SPLINTS IN PUEBLO

WHO: ActivArmor President/COO Diana Hall and CEO Dean Miller, PhD along with Pueblo
Economic Development Corporation Board Chair Jason Perry, Pueblo Commissioner
Suzie O’Brien and Chamber resident Tim Hernandez will host the ribbon cutting
ceremony and tour of the new ActivArmor production facility in downtown Pueblo.

WHAT: ActivArmor is expanding the company downtown using funding received through the
Colorado Advanced Industries Accelerator Grant that was awarded to the company in
December 2017.

ActivArmor is among 15 Colorado companies selected to receive funding assistance out


of the more than 80 companies that applied to the program last year. ActivArmor is the
first small business in Pueblo to receive the grant.

WHY: The $750,000 grant will assist in creating 23 advanced manufacturing and bioscience
jobs over the next three years in Pueblo in addition to purchasing a portion (8,000
square feet) of the old Qual-Med building giving ActivArmor the space needed to
manufacture the 3-D splints.

ActivArmor is the only custom-made 3D splint available in the United States. It


empowers patients with the freedom to be able to maintain their active lifestyles.

WHEN: The ribbon cutting ceremony will be Tuesday, May 1, at 11:00 a.m. After remarks from
dignitaries the guests are invited to tour the new ActivArmor production facility that
includes a demonstration creating a 3-D scan and splint.
