EXHIBIT 1

SCOPE OF SERVICES

1. GENERAL PRESENTATION

The AKPO field lies approximately off the southern coast of Nigeria within Oil Mining Lease (OML)
130. It is a subsea field with an estimated life of 20 years.

The AKPO development has been designed to comply with all relevant international codes,
standards and Company specifications. The design is mostly based on selected proven
technologies to ensure a higher degree of safety, security and reliability.

A Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO) is used to treat the well production
fluids and store the condensate/oil produced, prior to off-loading to an oil tanker on a scheduled
basis.

Corrosion monitoring is an essential element of Facility Integrity Management, and is used to

evaluate internal corrosion potential of process fluids, evaluate and optimize inhibitor
performance, and provide early warning of corrosion damage.

AKPO Corrosion Monitoring uses four basic intrusive techniques to assess corrosivity of process
streams and determine corrosion rates:

 Corrosion Coupons (CC)

 Electrical Resistance Probes (CER)
 Bio Probes (CBP)
 Corrosion Erosion Monitors (CEM)

Monitor locations and sample points locations are listed in Appendix A

Erosion monitoring (CEM) will be conducted by the non-intrusive type UT system, and is outside the
scope of this document.

The current scope of work covers maintenance, spare parts and support services required for the
installed corrosion monitoring systems (CC, CER, and CBP) with associated software/hardware
installed on the Total AKPO FPSO.

The CONTRACTOR shall be in charge of:

 Providing personnel, tool kits, and the likes, in order to perform the Services. Materials,
reagents and consumables, may be supplied as and when required by DWD Inspection
 Every six months, carrying on a campaign including installation and retrieval of internal
monitoring equipment
 Provision of field services to support probe retrievals (CC, CER, CBP) and system installation
services. Fully competent and trained retrieval engineers shall be used for live
(Hydraulic/Mechanical) probe/coupon installations (inclusive of bio probe/analysis). The
additional engineer will act as a second-man for the retrievals/installation, which is a
mandatory safety requirement. All weight loss and Bio probe analysis will be covered by this
service (Refer Section 5)
 Reporting the status of all items of monitoring equipment both from ROXAR corrosion data
logger and GE RIGHTRAX.
 Performing the Maintenance and servicing of hardware and software upgrades, identification
of system errors and replacement of defective probes, coupons and associated materials.
 Ensuring that the retrieval tools and its accessories are properly maintained and in good
condition before mobilization to site.
