FINAL ESSAY

If we talk about literature or what we consider literature well there is so much

variety. We, as a class, discuss what african literature is and make quite a good
emphasis on Nelson Mandela who was not only a figther but a writter too. Those
speeches were a new level when it comes about literature because it contained so
much truth and good feelings. Good ideas that had to be accepted. Like equal
opportunities, equal political rights and so on. His speech 'i am prepared to die' its
one of a kind. Its hard to hear but so true and kind at the same time. He was
prepared to die for his cause. Because he believed in a better world.

On the other hand we have a Ngugi Wa Thiong'o from Kenya who wrote children
literature. Besides that he wrote a really good book called "el diablo en la cruz" that
book was written when he was in prison, telling his story of how he got there and
what were the reasons.

This course enlighten me as a teacher to read different kinds of literature. I can see
that African literature (the one i liked the best) its good. Has many cualities that
makes it so unique. This tought me that variety its good for your mind and in this
case, your vocabulary.
