Course description
It has become very important to any engineer knowledge and mastering
some of the engineering programs within their competence to help him
solve the of problems the most important computer applications in the
field of engineering needed by any engineer to practice in his field
engineering, was the adoption of the most important two applications in
the software world, namely AutoCAD and MATLAB program that will
display each of them separately within the classroom. The student has
learned the basics of engineering drawing and how to draw shapes and
projections, and learning AutoCAD software helps him to complete the
engineering drawing concepts using the computer. On the other hand
the student has studied mathematics, physics and other sciences in
which the issues are resolved in ways that mathematics, the student
may also know some programming languages, and learn MATLAB
assisted on programming Engineering accountability and solved
mathematically election results effortlessly.
Objective
AutoCAD
23
Set up AutoCAD on your computer
Navigate the interface, open and close files, use the Zoom
commands to adjust the display of objects on the screen.
Describe units, function keys, and coordinate systems and create
basic objects, using different data input techniques, object snaps,
object snap tracking, polar tracking, and PolarSnap.
Select, modify, and adjust the properties of objects using object
grips and the Move, Copy, Rotate, Mirror, and Array commands.
Create and manage layers and linetypes and obtain geometric
information from the objects in the drawing.
Modify objects by changing their size, shape, orientation, or
geometric composition using Trim, Extend, Offset, Join, and other
commands.
Create and edit annotation objects using multiline and single line
text.
Create, edit, and manage dimensions and dimension styles.
Create, edit, and manage layers.
MATLAB
Create and manipulate variables
Implement control structures (conditions, loops).
Program and run simple scripts (M-files)
Use graphics tools to display data
Use the built-in help features
Use functions to replace redundancy and improve modularity.
Use arrays for collections of data (one-dimensional,
multidimensional).
Sort and search data.
Plot numeric data using MATLAB.

Course description:
This course describes the basic theories and principles of open
channel flow. Topics to be covered are: uniform flow, energy, continuity
and momentum equations, gradually and rapidly varied flows, channel
controls and weirs, design of erodible and non-erodible open channels,
lining of irrigation canals and economics of lining,. This course contains
some experimental lectures (using laboratory flume), homeworks and
short reports.
Objective:
This course provides an introduction to open channel hydraulics and
enable you to understand and apply the fundamental principles
governing open channelhydraulics to the design of engineering
systems. This course represents a stepping stone in your
professionaldevelopment; it is intended to aid you in developing the
skills in this specialty. At the conclusion of this subject, students will
understand the nature of flows and waves in openchannels and be
capable of solving a wide range of commonly encountered problems.
