1. pattern – a repeated sequence or design

2. exponent – a number that tells how many times a base is
used as a factor
3. power of a number – the number of times a number is used
as a factor. Usaully indicated with an exponent.
4. multliple – the product of that number and another whole
number
5. exponential notation – a way of writing numbers to show
place
6. scientific notation – another name for exponential notation
