SFI Foundation Inc.:
ISIEINDIA is now an official associate of the SFI, for usage of safety equipment in our events.
SFI Foundation Inc. originally started as SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturing
Association) Foundation Inc. founded in 1963 formed by several performance and racing parts
manufacturers, as an organization to develop safer parts, as well as, product specifications
and standards to be used by the supplier of speed equipment.
Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)
ISIEINDIA is also associated and recognised by MSME for the services it is providing to the
society. The Micro; Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act was notified in
2006 to address policy issues affecting MSMEs as well as the coverage and investment ceiling
of the sector. The Act seeks to facilitate the development of these enterprises as also enhance
their competitiveness. It provides the first-ever legal framework for recognition of the
concept of "enterprise" which comprises both manufacturing and service entities
About ESVC
Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) is Asia’s largest solar event which started in the
year 2013. The basic objective is to raise awareness among the future generation of engineers
about renewable energy resources and push them for development in this sector, all of this
while making it fun for them. Hence, they are required to build a Solar-Electric vehicle to
compete among themselves.
Vehicle builds by Student/Faculty/Professional as per Adventure and professional class
regulation must meet the strict specification of the Rulebook. The teams participating design
and manufacture their vehicles which are ergonomically sound, dynamically stable, light in
weight and solar powered, along with all these they are fun to drive at the same time. This
whole event is two stage process.
First being pre-virtual round which is compulsory for each team to attend. In this round, an
SDP will be held in which experts from industries associated with our cause share their
knowledge about vehicle design, vehicle dynamics and how teams can manufacture solar
panel, Power pack, BMS and various innovative & safety features for the vehicle.
The second stage is one in which teams start designing their vehicles on basis of knowledge
they have gained during the previous stage. Before manufacturing each team submits their
design report, calculations, the idea to us which our technical experts verify and advise them
(if any error, wrong approach, incomplete detail are found).
The third stage is the dynamic round which is a different experience in itself. In this round,
the teams arrive with their vehicles ready, which are made to go through series of tests and
inspection. Brake test, hill climb, cross pad, are some of the tests performed apart from final
endurance. In final endurance, teams have to run their vehicle on solar and batteries.
We also have solar performance test where the capability of the solar array used is checked.
For adventure class, they have to run their vehicle directly on the solar panel. We also have
battery performance test, Cross pad, hill climb and endurance for a given specific time, during
the endurance round have to cover maximum laps in specified time. We also give opportunity
to exhibit their vehicle on international platform, in year
2016, our team exhibit solar car in Global Expo on Services (GES16) inaugurated by President
of India at India Expo Mart. In the year 2017, we again display our innovative and attractive

solar car at Green Mobility Expo (GMX17) by CII at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, India. Delegates
from 70 + Countries, 150+ MNC across the globe also participated in this expo.
PMO India (2016) appreciated our effort towards solar energy awareness and green mobility
development through engineering students. ESVC e noted research project under Ministry of
new and renewable energy, Solar R&D Division, Govt. of India. During GES and GMX delegated
from 22 countries appreciated our concept.

Students can add members from different colleges too. But they are to represent only
one of the colleges/ organization as per their mutual agreement.
It’s not necessary for students to represent their college, they can also represent other
organization who is sponsoring/ supporting the team.
In case the team is seeking help from some industrial professional/experienced
personals then it should be purely for the advisory purpose. Design and fabrication of
the vehicle should be done by the team.
A.2.3.2. For Professional Class:
Here the teams can include both students and industry professionals in the same
event. Unlike in adventure class, the industrial professional is no longer just an advisor
for the team, he is a part of the team equally competing along with his/her other team
members.
The team requires a minimum of 7 members and maximum of 40 members, for
participation in both classes (Adventure or Professional).
ESVC 2018 3
Note: Any communication done by personal email ID or ID other than mail ID will not be
entertained once the team has been registered. Queries will be solved and replied within 48
hours. If you feel like your query has not been solved then you can contact us at the number
given.
ESVC 2018 4
The participating team can represent the college/organization from which they are
getting support or sponsorship for the event.
Students can thus form their team on behalf of industry/company which is providing
them sponsorship/support for manufacturing the vehicle.
ESVC 2018 5
Driver must be from the team. Any professional driver from outside is not allowed to
