Abstract
An intergrated ichnological and sedimentary facies study has conducted at Ngalang river,
Gedangsari area, where Sambipitu Formation is exposed, contains mostly well-preserved
trace fossils. A 19 m thick sedimentary deposit of mixed carbonate-siliciclastic deposit shows
the dominance of horizontal trace fossils that produced by deposit feeder. These trace fossils
are recognized at ichnogenus level (Planolites, Palaeophycus, Scolicia, Taenidium) and
ichnospecies level (Psammichnites plummeri, Psammichnites grumula) and are distributed
sporadically heterogenous and regulary heterogenous with variable bioturbation intensity
value, which interpreted as the Cruziana ichnofacies.
