Configure Tellabs Dial-up connection for

6325 CX, 6340 L4X, 6345 X4C or 6350 XC (Windows XP)

Step 1 Click Start - go to Connect To - Show All Connection

Step 2 Click New Connection Wizard


Step 3 Click Next

Step 4 Set up an advanced connection


Step 5 Connect directly to another computer

Step 6 Select Guest


Step 7 Set Connection Name, Example "Tellabs6300 Dial-up" then click Next

Step 8 Select "Communication cable between two computer (COM1) then click Next

Note: Driver for Modem – Communication cable between two computers (COM1) or Tellabs Modem driver must
be install first before setup Dial-up connection
Step 9 Click Finish

Step 10 Open Network Connection folder - Sellect Tellabs6300 Dial-up then right click
select Properties
Step 10 At General Tab - Select Communication cable between two computers (COM1)
then click configure

Step 11 Set Maximum speed (bps) to 38400 and uncheck all boxes
Step 12 Options Tab - set the following

Step 13 Security Tab - Select Typical (recommended setting) and select Allow unsecured
password
Step 14 Networkng Tab - Select PPP: Windows95/98/NT4/2000, Internet
Click Setting

Step 15 PPP Setting - Uncheck all boxes


Step 16 Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties
Set Ip address to 192.168.128.224 then click OK

Step 17 Open Network Connection folder, double click Tellabs6300 Dial-up


Step 18 Click Connect and wait till connection establish to node

Step 19 When connection shows "connected" open Tellabs 6300 Craft Terminal

Step 19 Select Local Network Element then click Next


Step 20 Select 6325, 6335, 6340 4.0 or later, 6345 or 6350 then click Next

Step 21 Click Finish and wait LCT connecting to NE

Step 2 Open Tellabs 6300 Craft Terminal


Step 3 Select Local Network Element then click Next

Step 4 Select Other then click Next


Step 5 Select COM Port - COM1 then click Next

Step 6 Click Finish and wait LCT connecting to NE
