The documents gave me this impression that neither Vietnamese people nor the American

government was very fond of each other. The Americans always thought of themselves as the

superior ones. Thus, their behavior towards Vietnamese people was very ignorant. They thought

that by providing Vietnamese people with financial aid and materialistic things, they would Commented [G3]: Deleted:e
